¤ About Colva Beach
Located
in south Goa 6 Kms from Margao city is the charming Colva Beach lazily
swaying its palm trees and glittering its silvery white sand. this beach is
the pride of the state and second only to Calangute in popularity. This is
Goas longest beach with 20 km of virgin white sands, palm fringed and
sun drenched. Here, sand, sea and sky blend in enchanting natural harmony
unspoilt by man. The best time to visit this place is from December to
February. Colva Beach, A popular destination in south Goa, the Colva Beach
is surely a jewel in Goa's crown of beaches. Few can rival its scenic
splendour. There are also good restaurants with a range of exotic cuisine

¤ Major Tourist Attractions
of Colva BeachNossa Senhora de Merces (Our Lady of
Mercy) Church - The church is famous for its annual religious
event-Fama of Menino Jesuse (Child Jesus)-since the 17th century. The
predominantly Catholic community celebrates it on the third Monday of
October every year. It is one of Goas most popular feasts and a big
fair is held on the occasion.
The Bull Fight - From
early October to late May, from 4 pm onwards, one can see the bull fights at
Benaulim. On the beat of taped Konkani music, the bullfights are usually
held in an old rice field with no fences or barricades just outside a
village.
