¤ About Cavelosim Beach
Cavelossim Beach, straddling the coast road 11 km south of Colva, is the last major settlement in southwest Salcete: its only claim to fame. A short way beyond the village's picturesque church square, a narrow lane veers left across an open expanse of paddy fields to the Cavelossim-Assolna ferry crossing near the mouth of the Sal River. If one is heading south to Canacona, turn left off the ferry and carry on as far as Assolna Bazaar, clustered around a junction on the main road. A right turn at this crossroads puts you on track for Canacona.

¤ Major Tourist Attractions of Cavelosim Beach

The main attraction of Cavelossim is the dolphin watching facility, which offers arranged boat trips for this special event. Tourists can book themselves to sail away out to sea, watch the dolphins and if lucky even touch these beautiful creatures.

These beaches are home to some of the most exclusive and luxurious beach resorts in Goa. Accommodation is also available for budget and economy class travelers though not on the beach itself.

¤ Climate of Cavelosim Beach
Goa has a consistent climate through the year with just meager fluctuations in the temperature. December and January might require light woolens. April and May are warm. The period from June to October brings heavy rain, almost up to 400 cm. The temperature during the summers ranges from 24°C to 32.7°C and during the winters it ranges from 21.3°C to 32.2°C.

Cavelossim beach can be easily reached by hiring a cab or an auto from any nearby place in south Goa.
